Brentford defender Aaron Hickey has returned to training after being sidelined since October 2023.

The 22-year-old Scotland full-back suffered a hamstring injury during a Premier League game against Chelsea last season.

Last month, Hickey signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the Gtech Community Stadium until the summer of 2028.
In a social media post on Friday, Brentford said: “Aaron (Hickey) is training with the first team and is planning to return to full training next week.”
“From next week onwards, he needs pre-season (to be ready).”
For Hickey, he made his Scotland debut in March 2022 and has gone on to win 14 caps for his country.
Thomas Frank’s Brentford are currently 11th in the Premier League and travel to West Ham on Saturday, February 15.
Meanwhile, Henry is close to being reintegrate with the squad in training, having undergone a 10-day recovery period after picking up a minor hamstring injury.
The left-back suffered the injury last month shortly after returning to make his first appearances since succumbing to the second ACL injury of his career, which he suffered back in September 2023.
