Carlo Ancelotti had dreams of working for Liverpool before becoming manager of local rivals Everton.

Real Madrid’s Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has reveal on Armando Ceroni’s ‘Larmandillo’ podcast that his dream is to take over at Liverpool, having previously work in England as manager of Chelsea and Everton.
Ancelotti was in charge of Chelsea ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี from 2009-2011. Before returning to the Premier League to take charge of Everton in December 2019, before leaving Goodison Park to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.
‘My dream was to manage Liverpool and then I found myself at Everton and experienced their rivalry and now I’m a big Everton fan. I really like the atmosphere there because there’s such a deep love for the colours. You can also see the pain Liverpool fans have for years and still have success in the Premier League today.’
Ancelotti’s experience of the pain during his time at AC Milan was 3-0 down at half-time in the 2005 Champions League final. Only for Liverpool to hit back in the second half to draw 3-3. Before the Reds won 3-2 on penalties to claim their fifth trophy, having also beat Juventus on penalties in 2003.
‘In the 2003 final, I sent three defenders to take penalties: Serginho, (Kaka) Kaladze and (Alessandro) Nesta. Because I couldn’t find anyone else. Of course, I took Pirlo and Rui Costa off the pitch, but it’s not easy to find five penalty takers.’
‘In 2005 I found everything went well, except for (Jerzy) Dudek. Who was doing that and with the rules of the day, all penalties had to be retaken,’ Ancelotti said.
