A sticky session is a promise to keep the same exit for a timer, often one to thirty minutes. You usually pass a session id in the username. When the timer ends, the next request may leave from somewhere else. The invoice is still gigabytes.
When sticky is the right sentence
- A multi-step form on a property you control, so the same address finishes the flow.
- An ad verification path that must not change ASN mid-check.
- A geo test that would break if the city flipped between two page loads.
When it is the wrong sentence
If you need the same address tomorrow, that is an ISP lease, billed per IP. If you need many exits and you do not care about continuity, rotating is enough. Sticky is not a discount, and it is not a visit pack.
